The Room Edit Terms and Conditions

Last updated 30 September 2026

These terms apply when a consumer books The Room Edit from Studio Aniela. They explain what the service includes, what each party must do, how cancellation works and what happens if there is a problem. Please read them before paying.

1 About Studio Aniela

The service provider is Jeorgia Rowbotham trading as Studio Aniela.

Email: info@studioaniela.co.uk

Website: https://studioaniela.co.uk

In these terms, 'Studio Aniela', 'I' and 'me' refer to the service provider. 'You' means the person booking the service for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

2 Who can book

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. The Room Edit is a consumer residential and small-space design guidance service. If you want the service mainly for a business or commercial project, please contact Studio Aniela before booking because different terms may be needed.

3 The Room Edit service

The Room Edit provides concept-level interior design guidance for one room or one clearly agreed small space. It is intended for spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, home offices and treatment rooms. It is not a technical kitchen or bathroom design, architectural, structural, engineering, building control, procurement, installation or project management service.

Included

What it means

Room direction- A bespoke visual concept bringing together colour, materials, furniture, lighting and the intended feel of the room, which may include sketches or visualisations.

Layout guidance- A suggested furniture arrangement based on the measurements, photographs and information you provide.

Shopping recommendations- A curated list of products selected with your stated style and approximate budget in mind.

Feel-good design notes- Personalised suggestions about matters such as colour, light, comfort, flow, nature and practical use of the room.

Digital design pack and walkthrough - A final digital pack and a recorded video walkthrough explaining the recommendations.

One minor refinement round- One consolidated set of small changes to fine-tune the agreed direction, subject to section 10.

4 Optional services

An in-home Room Review may be available to suitable local clients for the price shown at booking, currently £125 in addition to the Room Edit. Availability, location, date, access arrangements and any clearly disclosed travel cost must be agreed before the visit is confirmed. The optional visit does not add procurement, technical design or project management unless agreed separately in writing.

5 Booking and contract formation

The website describes the service and directs you to a Stripe checkout page. Before ordering, you must be able to review the service description, total price, these terms, the Privacy Notice and cancellation information.

Your order is an offer to buy the service. A contract is formed when Studio Aniela sends written confirmation accepting the booking after payment. If the room or requested work falls outside the service scope, Studio Aniela may decline the order and refund all sums paid.

The confirmation email will include or attach a copy of these terms and the model cancellation form in a format you can keep. The service description and any timescale or result specifically agreed in writing also form part of the contract.

6 Price and payment

The price is the amount shown at checkout when you book, including any applicable taxes. The current founding-client price shown on the website is £150 for the Room Edit. Optional extras must be actively selected or separately agreed and will not be added through a pre-ticked box.

Payment is due in full at booking and is processed by Stripe. Studio Aniela does not receive your full card details. If a payment is reversed, disputed or fails, work may be paused while the issue is resolved.

7 Information and cooperation required from you

You agree to provide the information reasonably needed to carry out the service, including clear room photographs, accurate basic measurements, details of furniture or belongings to keep, your approximate purchasing budget, practical needs, rental restrictions and inspiration or preferences.

You are responsible for checking the accuracy and completeness of measurements and information you provide.

You must have permission to share any photographs, videos, plans or inspiration images supplied by someone else.

You should remove or obscure people, private documents, security details and other unnecessary personal information from room images.

You must reply within a reasonable time if Studio Aniela asks for clarification. Delays or incomplete information may move the delivery date.

If you rent the property, you are responsible for obtaining the landlord's permission before making any change that requires it.

Studio Aniela may pause the project until the brief is complete. A brief is complete when Studio Aniela confirms in writing that enough information has been received to start the design.

8 Timing and delivery

After the brief is complete, Studio Aniela will confirm when work will start and the expected delivery date or delivery window. If no date is expressly agreed, the service will be completed within a reasonable time. The design pack and walkthrough will normally be delivered electronically by email or secure link.

If a delay is likely, Studio Aniela will tell you as soon as reasonably possible and provide a revised estimate. A delivery date may be extended where delay is caused by missing or changed information, late responses, illness, technology failure, supplier disruption or another event outside reasonable control.

9 The design pack

The design pack reflects the information, brief, budget and product availability at the time it is prepared. Visualisations and samples are illustrative. Colours, scale, materials and finishes can appear different on screens and in real rooms. You should check physical samples, dimensions and suitability before purchasing or carrying out work.

The pack is design guidance, not a guarantee that every suggested product will remain available or that the finished room will look identical to a visualisation. The service will nevertheless be carried out with reasonable care and skill and will match the agreed description.

10 The refinement round

The package includes one round of minor refinements. You must send one consolidated list of requested changes within seven calendar days after the initial design pack is delivered. A minor refinement adjusts details within the agreed brief, such as a colour, accessory or comparable product.

The included round does not cover a new room, a substantially different style or concept, a new layout after the agreed brief changes, extensive new sourcing, or changes caused by inaccurate measurements or omitted information. Studio Aniela will explain if a request falls outside the included round and may offer additional work at a price agreed before it starts. If no refinement request is received within seven days, the initial pack will be treated as the final pack, without affecting your statutory rights.

11 Products shopping links and suppliers

You purchase recommended products directly from the relevant retailer. The Room Edit does not include ordering, receiving, inspecting, returning or installing products. Retailer terms, delivery charges, returns policies, warranties, stock and prices apply to your purchase from that retailer.

Prices and availability can change after research. Studio Aniela will take reasonable care when selecting recommendations but is not responsible for a retailer changing or withdrawing a product after the recommendation is made. Any replacement sourcing requested after the included refinement round may be quoted as additional work.

Some links may be affiliate links or may involve a trade or referral arrangement. Where this applies, it will be clearly disclosed. Studio Aniela may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Recommendations will be selected for their suitability to the brief, and any financial relationship relevant to a recommendation will be made clear.

12 Tradespeople and implementation

Any introduction to a decorator, installer, supplier or other tradesperson is optional. Unless Studio Aniela expressly agrees otherwise in writing, that person is independent and you contract with them directly. You are responsible for checking their qualifications, references, insurance, quote, scope and terms. Studio Aniela is not responsible for independent work or products merely because a person or supplier was suggested.

Before implementation, you must obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional for structural work, electrics, plumbing, gas, ventilation, fire safety, building regulations, planning, listed-building requirements, asbestos, load-bearing walls, fitted joinery or other technical or safety-critical matters. Measurements for fitted, bespoke or safety-critical items must be checked on site by the relevant supplier or installer.

13 Intellectual property and permitted use

Studio Aniela retains copyright and other intellectual property rights in the original design pack, drawings, layouts, visualisations and written recommendations it creates. Once you have paid in full, you receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the pack to implement the design in the agreed room.

You may share the pack with your household and the suppliers or tradespeople who need it for that implementation. You must not resell, publish, reproduce for another property, use commercially, remove ownership notices from, or claim authorship of the pack without written permission. Retailer images, brand assets and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners.

14 Privacy and portfolio use

Studio Aniela will handle personal information in accordance with The Room Edit Privacy Notice. Booking the service does not give Studio Aniela permission to publish your room photographs, address, design or testimonial. Portfolio or marketing use requires a separate, optional permission that is not a condition of receiving the service.

15 Your 14 day cancellation right

If you book online, you normally have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. The cancellation period starts on the day after the contract is formed and ends 14 days later. To cancel, send a clear statement to info@studioaniela.co.uk. You may use the model form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to.

Studio Aniela will refund sums due without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being told of your decision, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise

16 Starting work during the cancellation period

Studio Aniela will not begin chargeable work during the 14-day cancellation period unless you make an express request. This request must be made separately from accepting these terms and must not be pre-ticked.

If you expressly request an early start and then cancel before the service is complete, you must pay a fair proportion of the agreed price for the work supplied up to the time you cancel. The amount will be based on the work actually completed and time reasonably spent compared with the full service. It is not an automatic cancellation fee, and Studio Aniela will explain the calculation.

You lose the 14-day right to cancel once the service has been fully performed only if, before completion, you expressly requested the early start and acknowledged that full performance would end the cancellation right. These rules do not limit your rights if the service is faulty, not as described or not carried out with reasonable care and skill.

17 Cancellation or changes after the 14 day period

After the statutory cancellation period, you may still ask to cancel or change the project. Because the service is personalised and time may have been reserved or work may have begun, a full refund is not automatic. Any amount retained will reflect work completed and loss reasonably caused by the cancellation, after taking account of costs saved or work that can reasonably be reallocated. This does not affect your statutory rights.

For an in-home review, please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to rearrange. Where less notice is given or no one is available at the agreed time, Studio Aniela may charge reasonable, evidenced loss caused, capped at the price of the visit, after taking reasonable steps to reduce that loss. Studio Aniela will try to offer one reasonable alternative date.

18 If Studio Aniela changes or cancels the service

Studio Aniela may make a minor change that does not materially reduce the service, for example changing the file format or method of delivery. A material change will be agreed with you first.

If Studio Aniela cannot provide the service or ends the contract for a reason not caused by you, you will receive a refund for the part not supplied. Studio Aniela may end or pause the contract if you do not provide required information, behave abusively, create an unsafe situation for an in-home visit, or do not make a required payment. You will be told in writing and any refund or charge will reflect work supplied and reasonable loss, subject to consumer law.

19 If there is a problem with the service

Studio Aniela must provide the service with reasonable care and skill, within the agreed time or a reasonable time, and in line with information about the service that you relied on. If this standard is not met, you may have the right to require repeat performance at no extra cost or, where repeat performance is impossible or cannot be provided within a reasonable time without significant inconvenience, a price reduction. Nothing in these terms removes or restricts your statutory rights.

Please contact info@studioaniela.co.uk promptly with a clear explanation and, where relevant, photographs or documents. Studio Aniela will respond as soon as reasonably possible and will try to resolve a valid complaint promptly.

20 Responsibility for loss

Studio Aniela is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of breaching the contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Studio Aniela is not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you, changes made after delivery, failure to obtain technical advice, or the acts of an independent retailer, supplier or tradesperson, except where the law says otherwise.

The service is supplied for private use. Studio Aniela is not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

21 Events outside reasonable control

Neither party is responsible for delay caused by an event outside their reasonable control, provided the affected party takes reasonable steps to reduce the effect and keeps the other informed. If a substantial delay continues, either party may end the affected part of the contract and you will receive a refund for services not supplied.

22 Communications

Notices about cancellation, complaints or the contract should be sent by email to info@studioaniela.co.uk unless another address is stated in the booking confirmation. Studio Aniela will use the email address you provide. You are responsible for checking that it is correct and monitoring your inbox and spam folder.

23 Complaints and alternative dispute resolution

Please raise a complaint with Studio Aniela first at info@studioaniela.co.uk. Studio Aniela will acknowledge it and make reasonable efforts to resolve it. If the complaint remains unresolved after the internal process, Studio Aniela will provide information about an appropriate accredited alternative dispute resolution provider where legally required and will state whether Studio Aniela agrees to use that provider.

24 Other important terms

Entire agreement. These terms, the service description, booking confirmation and any written changes agreed by both parties form the contract. Statements about the service that consumer law makes binding remain binding.

Changes. A change to an active booking must be agreed in writing. Updated website terms apply only to later bookings unless a change is required by law or you agree to it.

Transfer. You may not transfer the contract to someone else without written agreement. Studio Aniela may transfer the contract only where this does not reduce your rights.

Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the remaining parts continue to apply.

No waiver. A delay in enforcing a right does not mean that right has been given up.

Third-party rights. No person other than you and Studio Aniela has a right to enforce this contract, except where the law provides otherwise.

25 Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep any mandatory protections given by the law of the part of the United Kingdom where you live. You may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and Studio Aniela may bring proceedings only as consumer law permits.

Model Cancellation Form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel the contract. You may instead send any other clear statement of cancellation.
